Royal Vale Welcomes Future Families at Open House
By Alena Hamlett
Royal Vale School opened its doors on September 17, welcoming prospective students and their families for an opportunity to discover the school community firsthand. For all our dates go to: https://www.emsb.qc.ca/emsb/schools/open-house
The Open House gave families a closer look at the learning spaces, programs and opportunities available to students at Royal Vale from Kindergarten to Grade 11. From science, robotics, physics and chemistry to the school’s new fitness centre and climbing wall, visitors were able to explore an environment designed to encourage academic achievement, creativity and active living.
For families considering the secondary program, Royal Vale also offers four areas of concentration that allow students to develop their interests alongside their regular academic studies.
The Performing Arts Concentration introduces students to dance and drama, combining movement, creativity, self-expression and theatrical production. Students can develop their performance skills while also discovering the many roles that bring a stage production to life. No previous dance training is required for Secondary I students.

Through the Music Concentration, students develop musical knowledge and performance skills through theoretical and practical learning. The program provides opportunities to perform both individually and as part of a group while exploring a variety of musical styles. No previous musical experience is required for Secondary I students.
The Sports Concentration promotes the importance of physical activity as part of students’ overall well-being. Through quality training and skill development, students are encouraged to reach their athletic potential, develop leadership skills and embrace an active lifestyle.
