Buzz and excitement at Rosemount High School Open House 2025

On Thursday, October 2, 2025  Rosemount High School  welcomed prospective students and their parents to explore their Open House.

 

The cozy and well-organized evening was met with lots of buzz and excitement, with a  terrific atmosphere and a wonderful welcoming environment. This all fostered positivity and one could really feel  a sense of belonging. All  visitors, guests, parents, guardians and prospective students were warmly welcomed and greeted by smiles from Principal Giovanni Iammarone and Vice-Principal Samira Chawki. 

There was a large and enthusiastic crowd on hand.

The Open House provided great opportunities to explore and tour the facility, discovering programs that make this school  stand out.

   

 

 Alessios Giancola's  Entrepreneurship class.   

Welcome to the Rosemount Café! This is a great initiative from Alessio Giancola's  Entrepreneurship Class, students get  to learn firsthand how to operate and manage a business: budget, pricing, placing orders, inventory and  create employee schedules,  all while successfully operated fully by motivated RHS Student. This fosters great life skills and generates future young entrepreneurs. In addition this fully functional café within Rosemount High School serves up savory coffees, brewed on the spot!  It is something we all wish we had during our past high school days!  All proceeds go to the Prom Committee.

    

 

ATHLETICS  

 

The Rosemount High School Athletics program is built on a rich history of success and sportsmanship. It offers high-quality physical education programs and instruction by certified physical education teachers. 

Equipment and Facilities

Rosemount High School  has two double gyms, a fitness room with cardio machines, and a three-station CrossFit rig with weight training equipment, making this an athletics dream!

Rosemount High School Arts Etudes Program  

This is the only English high school in Montreal to offer  a specialized Arts Études   program that provides your child with the opportunity to realize his/her full potential through the exploration of the exciting world of music!  Students get to work alongside coaches specialized on their instruments.  The school's dynamic performance-based program meets and exceeds the required competencies for the Quebec Education Plan. Students are involved in all aspects of music-making: creativity, composition, performance and appreciation. In addition, many students get to fully develop their music skills and many go onto pursuing exciting successful musical endeavors!

Last, but not least, the evening was not complete without a full RHS Band Performance by teacher Debbie Best's students in the auditorium. Many people gathered to listen and hear the delightful performance. Rich music filled the auditorium and the audience was captivated by the rich sounds and talented performances. It was hard to believe how well these students learned their performance in only a few weeks since the beginning of the academic year. Many, in fact, already sounded like seasoned musical veterans and this  was a real treat for the ears and the senses. I personally can't wait to be back for their holiday concert.

Thanks, Rosemount High School for hosting such an extraordinary Open House. It was  a delightful and  educational gem. We can’t wait to be back
